Privacy Protocol

1. Data Ingestion

When you use The Parsing Engine, we ingest your master resume document, the target job description URLs you provide, and any custom AI Playbook rules you establish. This data is strictly used to calculate match percentages and generate a tailored output document. We do not sell your personal data or your professional history to third-party recruiters or advertisers. Job descriptions scraped from public URLs (such as LinkedIn), generated scorecards, and tailored resumes are securely stored in your personal Jobs History to allow you to review them later and track your application progress. This data is fully private and only accessible by you.

2. AI Processing

To provide our core service, your resume text and target job descriptions are transmitted to our third-party AI sub-processors (such as OpenRouter, OpenAI, or Anthropic) via secure APIs. These partners are strictly prohibited from using your personal data to train their foundational models. Your data is processed ephemerally for the sole purpose of generating your tailored document.

ChatGPT Proxy Integration: If you choose to connect your personal ChatGPT account using our proxy feature, we store an encrypted session token in our secure database and link it to your account identity. This allows the integration to work across all your devices and browsers without requiring you to reconnect. The token is used strictly to fulfill your direct API requests and is never shared. You can revoke this integration and delete the token at any time by clicking the unlink button in the AI provider menu.

3. Authentication & Storage

We use Clerk for authentication. Your account information (email address and basic profile) is securely stored and managed by Clerk. Your original master resume files (PDF/DOCX) are stored in secure Supabase storage buckets. Your AI Playbook rules, API usage logs, job evaluation histories (including tailored resumes), and ChatGPT session tokens are stored securely in our Supabase databases with strict Row Level Security (RLS) enforcement. ChatGPT session tokens are linked to your account identity (not just the browser) to enable seamless cross-device access, and are only accessible by our automated systems on your behalf during an active session.

4. Deletion Rights

You maintain full control over your data. You may delete your master resume or your entire account at any time through the system settings. Upon deletion, all related files and parsed data are immediately and permanently removed from our active databases.

5. Google API Services User Data Policy

The Parsing Engine's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

• Data Accessed: We request standard authentication scopes (userinfo.email, userinfo.profile, and openid) to access your email address, name, and profile picture.
• How Data is Used: We use this data strictly for the purpose of creating your account, securely logging you in, and displaying your profile within the app.
• How Data is Stored: Your Google user data is stored securely via our authentication provider (Clerk) using industry-standard encryption.
• Data Sharing: We do not share, sell, or transfer your Google user data to any third-party advertisers, data brokers, or AI models.
